Intro to power skating

PROGRAM DETAILS

Our Intro to Power Skating classes are for skaters who already skate proficiently in hockey skates and are new to the game of hockey. Skaters develop the skills necessary to advance to Power Skating in a progressive format. Skaters will learn co-ordination, agility, and master skating in all directions.

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Skill-intensive curriculum
  • Low player-to-coach ratio (1:5)
  • Fun environment to meet the needs of young players
  • Goal of player progression is to develop and improve skill level over the course of the season

KEY INFORMATION:

  • Skaters must have fundamental skating skills: backwards skating, forward inside and outside edges, basic crossovers forwards and backwards in both directions.

EQUIPMENT GUIDELINES:

  • CSA approved helmet with cage
  • Gloves and other warm, waterproof outerwear
  • Hockey skates in good condition (rentals not available)

GROUP LESSONS

LOCATION: Rinx – 65 Orfus Road, Toronto, ON M6A 1L7

SCHEDULE: Saturdays from 3:00-4:00PM

*(May 12, 26, June 2 & 9th at 6-7:00pm or Sport Conditioning at 3-4:00pm)

DATES: Starts April 7th 2018 – June 23rd 2018 (10 Sessions)

SPRING SESSION: $400

Exclusion Dates: May 5 & 19th.

PRIVATE LESSONS
